Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Not For Beginners!
I was extremely disappointed in this video. My son is 23 months old. He enjoys watching the other children in the video as the theme is a birthday party. The video is about 25 minutes long and spends about 5 total minutes showing the "potty". Heavy focus on an upcoming birthday party and being a "big boy". The majority of the children in the video are age 4. Only one scene shows a child in diapers. All other children are in underwear and can undress and dress themselves. All "potty" actions are shown on a big toilet, not a small potty chair. If your child is 3 1/2 or 4 and needs some reinforcement, it's okay, but the limited potty focus makes it not worth the money as a training video. Do not buy this video if your child is a beginner. Duke Family could have done a better job by focusing on children in various stages of training and decreased the birthday party focus.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - She's a Super Dooper Pooper!
These are the words that finally got my 4 year old to use the potty.

She had been potty trained since she was 2 and 1/2 but adamently refused to do No.2 on the potty. She never had any accidents day or night, and would go get pulls up, put them on and go. (I know, your saying stop buying them) but, if she did not have them she would hold it, which would result in another trip to the doctor.

After watching the video for only 3 days, she has been using the potty everyday for a week without any problems. She is so proud of herself, as are we.

This is the video to buy if you have a very smart, but headstrong only child. Now I can put all the money that I would have spent on pull-ups in the college fund.

Its amazing how a child can learn from singing rhyming songs and watching a video. Its the best!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Not for training young children!!
My mother bought us this video for our 2 1/2 year old son, and I must say, I had high hopes, it coming from Duke University. But, I was extremely disappointed when we watched it for the first time. Like other reviewers have said, there is not enough of the pottying shown, and when it is shown, it some little boy's legs and the rim of the toilet. All the kids in this video, except the girl in the very beginning, are older and trained. And the main focus of the video is a birthday party with a cheesy clown. My son loves videos, but he was completely disinterested in this one. I felt this video was outdated and way too mature for him. It is also not graphic enough to teach a child about going to the potty. And, everything I have read says children should learn to potty on their own potty chair before graduating to the toilet and boys should learn to do both sitting down before peeing standing up. This video never shows a child on a potty chair at all...actually, there's a song saying something about not needing a potty chair. In a word, it's AWFUL.
